this is where it all begins...
When you book your ideal session time, we will also schedule your consultation. In your home or by phone, Elle will get to know you, start to design your session, and help find the right wardrobe and location(s) for your shoot. This is also the time to talk about our products, from prints to albums and heirloom styled works of art!
Be sure to check out your style guide you received when you booked your session. The style guide is important so don't skip it! Arrive in a comfy travel outfit and bring your outfits on hangers and/or rolling travel bag. Arrive with your hair all done and a clean fresh face, ready for makeup application.
Your photo shoot will be approx. 3-5 hours. This accounts for makeup application, wardrobe changes and travel time. All shoots are scheduled to end around sunset. We will never compromise your photo day, so if rain or strong winds are in the forecast, as it often is in New England… we will reschedule to another day that works for you.
The big reveal! Your ordering appointment will last between 60 to 90 minutes, we want to make sure you do not feel rushed. You can either come to the studio or we can come to you! We will work with you to help you choose the best of the best and design products you love.

Will Elle be my photographer?
Your photographer will be Elle Bacon. We do not source out your photo session. Elle is the co-owner of Beck Photo together with her husband Kevin, and she created all of the portraits you see on the website and in our social media feeds.
Can I have 2 hair styles?
Yes, as long as the 2nd hair style is quick and easy and will only take a few minutes to do. If you would like to have both straight and curly looks, then you would need to book the "Custom Model Split Session, which includes 2 sessions, allowing you to have 2 completely different hair styles!
What if it rains?
We always like to go outdoors for half of your session so the weather is very important! We never compromise your photo day so if rain or even strong winds are in the forecast, we will re-schedule.
